World's biggest water slide draws crowds at Jamberoo Action Park

Jamberoo Action Park is enjoying massive peak season visitor numbers following the launch of two major new water attractions; including the longest and largest water ride of its kind in the world the Funnel Web.

Banjo's Billabong, the largest interactive water play area built in the southern hemisphere, is the other new attraction that is drawing the crowds at the southern NSW theme and water park.

Funnel Web takes riders through a darkened tube at a rapid 30 kilometres per hour, twisting and turning down the water slide's 270 metres in approximately 35 seconds, before exiting at the Funnel Web's massive funnel-shaped burrow.

Banjo's Billabong is packed with water slides, water cannons, bridge climbs, spray features and a huge bucket that tips 1,200 litres of water down on aqua-loving guests every 10 minutes, providing hours of splashable fun for all ages.

Jamberoo Action Park Executive Director Dax Eddy explains "we're excited to officially open Stage One of our Kangaroo Island expansion to the public this summer.

"Funnel Web and Banjo's Billabong are world-class water rides and attractions that will wow guests of all ages. We can't wait for this to be one of the best Summers ever at Jamberoo Action Park."

The new rides are part of Jamberoo's $11.6 million expansion, and join attraction favourites including, Taipan, Outback Bay, Billabong Beach and the Bobsled.

For Park information and access to the new mobile e-ticketing system, guests can download the Jamberoo Smartphone App enabling them to purchase mobile e-tickets online via their smartphone in three easy steps and receive priority entry.

Guests can also be transported to and from the Park to Kiama Railway Station on the Jamberoo Summer School Holiday Bus Service.
