Jamberoo to submit Kangaroo Island development plans
NSW attraction Jamberoo Action Park is preparing to submit plans for a $20 million extension that will feature some of the world's newest and most exciting slides, to council.
The Kangaroo Island development will feature a 450-metre river rapid, interactive play area, ProSlide Behemoth Bowl, ProSlide Dual Mammoth River slides, ProSlide Rocket water coaster and ProSlide Tornado 60 (complete with a giant lizard statue).
Kangaroo Island will include approximately 1,000 metres2 of shaded areas and the development will see the doubling of lockers numbers along with extra toilet facilities.
Explaining the development, General Manager Dax Eddy stated "when we select rides, we focus on (rides with) high capacity, high thrill, low maintenance and flexibility with theming."
Entry prices at the attraction are planned to stay the same after Kangaroo Island is built.
The plans will be submitted to council shortly. Construction is to be staged over the course of 10 years, although the first stage of construction could begin as early as next year.
