Jamberoo Action Park opens for 2012/13 season

Jamberoo Action Park has reopened for the NSW school holidays and the 2012/13 summer season.
Located just over an hour's drive from Sydney, NSW's biggest theme park is offering a new season of crowd favourite rides and attractions including:
The Taipan A high intensity water thrill, those brave enough will have a go and travel in a five -person raft as it twists and turns down a giant waterslide in and out of darkness.
Outback Bay The largest wave pool in NSW, this has something for everyone. Whether surf enthusiasts practising their bodysurfing, thrill seekers drifting with the 1.5 metre high waves or those looking to relax on the the bay side deck chairs, Outback Bay is a hit for all.
Billabong Beach The little ones will have smiles from ear-to-ear as they gallivant around the beach with heated shallow pools, mini water slides and fun water jets.
Surf Hill A speed slide which features an 18 metre drop and wave like grooves, competitive fun seekers will revel as they race their friends in one of eight lanes of action.
Rapid River An action-packed attraction, riders sit atop rubber rafts as they travel the river's course meeting bucking rapids, cascading waterfalls and waves up to 1.5 metres high.
The attraction also offers a range of eateries, its souvenir shop, Surf Shack and photobooth.
Jamberoo Action Park is in the process of carrying out expansion plans, with the first stage underway.
This involves the construction of what will be the largest ever an interactive water play area ever built in Australia as well as a Tornado Water slide- a raft based ride that loops and twists before dropping into a huge funnel then shooting out into a splash pool.
Explaining progress on the developments, Jamberoo Marketing Director James Cook told Australasian Leisure Management "development is progressing well, and we look forward to being able to deliver two new rides and attractions this summer."
The park has also updated its online ticketing system with the Jamberoo App is now available for Android phones and is available for free download from Google Play.
The Android App has the same functionality as the App that was made available on iTunes last year meaning that all smartphone users will have access to download the Jamberoo App.
