Webinar to share skills on motivating clients in weight management programs
Aiming to to reduce one of the top personal and business frustrations for fitness professionals – client motivation, an upcoming webinar from the SmartShape Centre for Weight Management will address ‘Mastering Motivation for Weight Management’
To be broadcast on the moring of Thursday 13th July, the 90-minute online event aims to equip fitness professionals with the knowledge, know-how and tools to help clients establish powerful motivation for lifestyle change.
Webinar speaker and SmartShape Director, Matt O’Neill explains “without the correct mindset, diet and fitness programs fail. By adding key motivational strategies right from the start of a client’s fitness journey, fitness professionals can be better behaviour changers, enjoy more success and help reduce Australia’s obesity rate.”
The webinar will cover the best of positive psychology, behaviour change research and real client experiences. The four topics are; Ideas about motivation, Assessing motivation, Motivation management and Creating long-term motivation.
O’Neill (pictured), who has delivered workshops in eight countries and has helped over 24,000 people in his own weight management program, adds “motivation is a big topic but at the webinar I’ll be making it simple, smart and effective with checklists and coaching scripts that have an instant impact.
“After many years and thousands of clients you learn motivational techniques that can be systemised to deliver benefits to clients and in turn more rewards for fitness businesses.”
