World First for Ticketek

Ticketek has launched Reserve A Seat, a new online tool that allows customers to purchase their own seats and then hold a limited number of adjacent seats for their friends to purchase within a set period of time without paying up-front costs.

The first tool of its kind in the world, Reserve A Seat makes it quick and easy for Ticketek customers to organise a group for an event, without the hassle of having to pay for friends' tickets upfront. After purchasing their own seats, customers can use Reserve A Seat to hold a limited number of adjacent seats. Reserve A Seat then emails to up to 20 of their friends inviting them to purchase the seats on hold direct from ticketek.com.au, within the specified hold period.

Ticketek Chief Executive Geoff Jones stated "Reserve A Seat taps into how our customers connect and communicate today.

"We have taken all the hassle out of getting a group together for a night out at the theatre, or a day at the game by making it a simple and quick online process for a group of friends to buy their own seats and still sit together."
