Gunnebo guide for Cash Management Systems

A guide that looks at the alternatives available to retailers for the management of cash processes, released by security and access group Gunnebo in 2017, is continuing to be a popular reference work for facility and retail managers.

The Comparison Guide for Cash Management Systems considers options from fully automated closed cash management to manual cash handling, also exploring back-office recycling, back-office deposit and front-office deposit.

Viewed as pioneers in cash management, the Swedish firm, which has a presence in Australia, has extensive experience in boosting productivity and security as well as in reducing costs and losses.

Introduced in 2002, its closed cash management system, SafePay™, automates and efficiently secures the handling of cash to provide customers with faster service while operators work in a more secure environment.

Speaking earlier this year, Tomas Wangberg, then Senior Vice President, Cash Management at Gunnebo, advised “retail businesses enjoy the ease of cash transactions (as) without processing fees and Internet dependency, cash is fast and simple.

“But cash does bring about other business challenges. Depositing and counting notes, reconciling bills, transporting cash, and tracking cash interactions ... can be difficult.”

A completely sealed and highly secure cash handling solution for retail cash handling systems, SafePay™ was first developed and has been evolved in close collaboration with the retail trade.
