Gunnebo Australia Leads on Venue Access Upgrades

The Alvarado GateLink Admission Control System has stamped it's mark in the sports stadium entrance control market over the last two years.

With many venues having previously upgraded their turnstile systems prior to the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, ten years on many systems (which are often using DOS based) are simply outdated.

The solution is the GateLink System which has replaced existing turnstile entry systems at a number of large venues including the Sydney Cricket Ground, the Sydney Football Stadium, the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Adelaide Oval and the Gabba.

New and upgraded venues have also chosen GateLink including Skilled Park on the Gold Coast, the Brisbane Tennis Centre, Campbelltown Sports Stadium, Penrith Stadium, Toyota Stadium and Energy Australia Stadium in Newcastle.

The GateLink System is a total admission control solution that seamlessly combines turnstiles, hand scanners and gates, and virtually any ticketing system, into a proven, reliable, state-of-the-art facility admission system.

Recently the GateLink solution was selected as the admission control system for the soon-to-opened Melbourne Rectangular Field Stadium. As this new venue is managed by the Melbourne and Olympic Parks Trust, the management has also decided to replace the existing turnstiles at both the Rod Laver and HiSense Arenas with the GateLink System. At these venues GateLink will be integrated to Gunnebo Entrance Control's all stainless steel drop-arm turnstiles.

Gunnebo Australia Manager - Site Protection Andrew Wilson explains that "the success of GateLink in Australia is testament to the tremendous functionality and excellent features incorporated into GateLink by the designers of the System, Alvarado Manufacturing Co. of Chino in Southern California.

"GateLink has set a new benchmark has quickly becoming the market leader in providing Australian sports stadiums with entrance control solutions."
