Sydney Symphony Orchestra partners with Royal Caribbean global cruise holiday company
Commencing in 2023, a multi-year partnership between Sydney Symphony Orchestra and global cruise holiday company Royal Caribbean, will see the Royal Caribbean join the Sydney Symphony as a Major Partner, with naming rights for the Sydney Symphony’s new Classics Under the Sails concert series.
Speaking about the partnership, Kathryn Lock, Director of Marketing, Royal Caribbean AUNZ notes “Royal Caribbean is delighted to be a major partner of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Australia’s flagship Orchestra, as the Orchestra launches its Classics Under the Sails concert series. Not only do we share the stunning Sydney Harbour backdrop whenever our ships are in port, we also share a deep passion for the arts and live entertainment with over 105,000 guests watching Royal Caribbean’s performances every night in 50 theatres globally across our 27 ships. Sydney Symphony subscribers will also gain access to exclusive offers allowing them to experience Royal Caribbean’s destination rich itineraries including New Zealand, Europe, the Caribbean and Alaska.”

The Sydney Symphony’s Classics Under the Sails is a new concert series, consisting of five concerts across the Orchestra’s 2023 Season. Performed on Fridays and Saturdays at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall, the concerts will offer audiences the opportunity to hear classical music’s greatest works with the world’s leading artists, including Chief Conductor Simone Young, Principal Guest Conductor Donald Runnicles, star violinist Arabella Steinbacher, and much more. The Sydney Symphony’s 2023 Season commences with its first performance of the year, Simone Young conducts Mahler’s First Symphony (8th-11th February) at the Sydney Opera house Concert Hall.
