Adventure World Introduces 'Aquacash' for 2010/2011 Season
Perth amusement park Adventure World has introduced an innovative cashless payment system for the summer season.
Opening for the 2010/2011 Season, the park has also introduced its newest thrill ride, the Freefall â a giant shot and drop tower. The highest and only ride of its kind in Western Australia, Freefall is 56 metres tall and weighs over 100 tonnes. During a one minute experience, riders are catapulted into the air and then freefall dropped at 15 metres per second with an acceleration of 1.2Gs!
Adventure Worldâs new âAqua Cashâ system is a fast, safe and convenient way for visitors to carry and access their cash during visits to the park. Users simply load the value of their choice onto their wristband and have the barcode on your wristband scanned when they make a purchase from a participating outlet. The balance on the card can be checked at any of the locations and at the end of their visit users can simply redeem any credit not used.
As an Adventure World spokesperson explains, âAquaCashâ was introduced as âwe know how much of a pain it is carrying cash around, or needing to go all the way back to the locker just to grab some coins for a thirst quencher in between rides and slides.?
Last season over 250,000 people enjoyed Adventure World, which also offers a Season Pass entitling holders to unlimited entry and fun in the park and great in-park discounts during the season.
Adventure World is open from 25th September 2010 to 8th May 2011.
