Workplace Health and Safety Show returns to Sydney in 2021

The Workplace Health and Safety Show 2021 will be held at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park from 7th to 8th September with the event sharing the latest news and research, and showcasing the cutting-edge technology, processes and products impacting the safety world.

The Workplace Health and Safety Show is one of Australia’s leading workplace health and safety events. The event promises a live, interactive two-way learning experience with a trade show featuring over 100 brands, thought-provoking talks and interactive forums, led by the industry’s finest, who will shed light on everything from workplace mental health, to innovative new technologies, and the dizzying world of ever-changing safety regulations.

IEC Group Australia Chief Executive, Marie Kinsella notes “we are delighted to confirm numerous companies have confirmed their exhibition booking at the Sydney event, including Major Exhibition Sponsor, Skytrust, Donesafe, Australian Welding Supplies and Cirlock to name a few.”

The opportunity to hear from industry leaders in a more personalised and interactive environment has always been key to the Workplace Health and Safety Show’s success, and the 2021 event will be no different. This year’s comprehensive education presentations cover topics such as innovation, technology, major hazards, wellbeing, mental health, and injury prevention, just to name a few.

As the ripple effects from COVID-19 moves through the community, there has been a significant toll on mental health. Legislation in Australia requires employers to ensure that their places of work are physically and mentally healthy for all employees. Positive actions must be taken to ensure that the working environment does not harm mental well-being or exasperate an existing condition which is why mental health in the workplace will be a focus of the Workplace Health and Safety Show 2021.

COVID-19 has also ignited the need for Australia to grow its manufacturing capabilities, with the Government announcing in October 2020 $1.5 billion in new funding to be invested over the next four years to help make Australian manufacturers more competitive, resilient and able to scale-up to take on the world. With this in mind a brand new event, the Modern Manufacturing Expo, will be co-located at the Workplace Health and Safety Show, bringing together a showcase of the latest in product resources and technology for Australian manufacturers.

Applications to be an exhibitor at the Modern Manufacturing Expo are still open. To apply, head to www.whsshow.com.au/mme-about
