Western Bulldogs secure Mission Foods as naming rights sponsor for Whitten Oval

Mission Foods has expanded its sponsorship links with the Western Bulldogs by taking on the naming rights for the AFL club’s headquarters at Whitten Oval.

Already a major partner of the Bulldogs, the new partnership will see the club’s Footscray headquarters known as Mission Whitten Oval for at least the next five years, after being known as the VU Whitten Oval for several years in partnership with Victoria University.

Explaining the value of the partnership, Mission Foods Chief Executive and President, Juan Gonzalez stated “our partnership with the Western Bulldogs is more than a sponsorship, it’s a testament to our shared values of passion, integrity and community.

“And it’s with immense pleasure and pride we embark on this significant milestone with Mission Foods representing the Western Bulldogs on the playing field and now at their home ground – Mission Whitten Oval. Together we look forward to creating lasting memories and inspiring the current and next generation of athletes”.

The redevelopment of Mission Whitten Oval is currently in its final stages. Features of the redevelopment include a new EJ Whitten Stand, improved seating and facilities for spectators, new function room, administration offices, and community spaces, broadcast quality lighting and match day pavilion.

Mission Foods has been a Bulldog’s sponsor since 2008, the longest continuous major partner sponsorship in the club’s history.
