AFL to freeze general admission ticket prices at the MCG and Marvel Stadium for 2024 season

The AFL has announced that ticket prices for general admission seats at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium and the MCG for the coming season, with a new deal for families to apply to all home and away matches.

The AFL has today announced that general admission seats at the MCG and Marvel Stadium will this year remain $27 for adults, $18 concession and $5 for children.

This will be sixth consecutive year in which ticket prices have remained the same for Melbourne AFL matches.

Tickets for MCG and Marvel Stadium matches will go on sale on 27th February for club and AFL Members, followed by general public sales a day later.

Sales dates and times will be staggered among states.

The AFL is also planning a ‘kids go free month’ over the June and July school holidays.

All 18 AFL clubs set ticket prices for their home and away matches but the AFL has a deal with the MCG and Marvel Stadium on general admission and family admission costs at those venues.

The AFL also sets the ticket prices for Gather Round and the Finals.

With a record 8.13 million fans attended AFL matches last season, AFL Executive General Manager Customer and Commercial, Kylie Rogers advised that “momentum is quickly building” for another big year.

Rogers added “opening Round across NSW and Queensland has had great uptake from fans so far and I know come the Thursday night of Round One at the MCG, the precinct will be buzzing.”
