Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi to feature Harry Potter-themed land

Miral has announced an Arabian Gulf first with Harry Potter-themed land to be introduced at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, a first in the Middle East.

The expansive new land will join six existing zones in Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. These are Warner Bros. Plaza, Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch, Cartoon Junction, Gotham City and Metropolis and will see guests enjoy seminal locations from the Wizarding World franchise.

Revealing the planned launch, but not announcing an opening date, Miral Chairman, Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak stated that the developer and attractions operator is “excited to be bringing this spellbinding first to the Middle East and the world in the future.”

Al Mubarak noted “this is yet another testament to our commitment to continue to position Yas Island as a top global destination for entertainment and leisure, and a great addition to Abu Dhabi’s tourism offerings, contributing to the growth and economic diversification of the Emirate.”

Pam Lifford, President of Global Brands and Experiences at Warner Bros. Discovery, explaining “the Wizarding World offers something for fans of every age to enjoy”, adding that the Harry Potter books and films “continue to captivate and inspire hundreds of millions of fans around the world.”

Lifford went on to stated “together with our lands at Universal parks, this will add a wholly new and spectacular destination for fans to immerse themselves in.”

Based on J.K. Rowling‘s best-selling book series, which has sold more than 600 million copies worldwide, Harry Potter’s intellectual property is in place at attractions around the world, including include a flagship Harry Potter store in New York, Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience, Harry Potter: The Exhibition, and Warner Bros. Studio Tours.

Miral, a leading developer of immersive attractions and experiences, has a portfolio of projects under construction worth more than US$3.4 billion in Abu Dhabi.
