World's first Warner Bros. Hotel opened on Abu Dhabi's Yas Island

A collaboration between Abu Dhabi-based developer Miral and entertainment brand Warner Bros. has seen the opening of WB™ Abu Dhabi, located on the Emirate’s Yas Island, the first ever Warner Bros. themed hotel.

Opened at the end of last week, the hotel, built at a cost of more than US$100 million, features over 400 curated images and film props, presenting a journey through Warner Bros.' rich history of film and television.

Artwork in the hotel’s 257 rooms are similarly themed, drawing on three narratives. The first theme, From Script to Screen, highlights standout moments from Warner Bros.’ movies and shows and documents the journey from the written page to the final shot. The second theme, Artist Confidential, celebrates a variety of talent in front of and behind the camera in some of Warner Bros.’ favourite productions.

The five restaurants at WB™ Abu Dhabi are similarly themed while the hotel lobby also features props and costumes from Warner Bros. films and TV shows along with 360-degree city and sea views.

Managed by Hilton Hotels as part of its Curio Collection, the property links with the Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi indoor theme park and the other attractions of Abu Dhabi's Yas Island.

Introducing the hotel’s unique hospitality experiences, Miral Chairman HE Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, stated "this is yet another great moment for us, with The WB™ Abu Dhabi hotel opening on Yas Island, further positioning it as a top global destination for leisure, entertainment and business.

“We are very proud of our long-standing partnership with both Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment and Hilton, bringing world firsts and global hospitality offerings and experiences to Abu Dhabi."

WarnerMedia Global Brands and Experiences President, Pam Lifford added "our dream has come true with the grand opening to the first ever Warner Bros. branded hotel. Our incredible partners at Miral and Hilton, have helped us make this vision a reality for our fans around the world.

“We always strive to be fan focused and have developed an exceptional hospitality experience for them to further connect with the iconic Warner Bros. brands, franchises, and characters they know and love. Guests visiting Warner Bros. World right next door will have the ultimate encore to their park experience by relaxing and treating themselves to a stay at The WB Abu Dhabi.

Guests arriving at WB™ Abu Dhabi begin their story as they pull up to the hotel and are greeted by digital screens that span the height of the building, playing over 35 different pieces of original content created for the hotel.

The hotel also offers leisure amenities including a family pool area, fitness centre, spa and Warner Bros. retail store while also catering for business meetings and events with a large 394 metre² multi-function ballroom and expansive meeting room facilities perfect for events.

Located 12 kilometres from Abu Dhabi Airport, the hotel is also a walking distance from Yas Waterworld and a short drive to all other Yas Island unique attractions and experiences.

The weekend also saw the opening of the National Aquarium Abu Dhabi.
