VMA launches 30th Asia-Pacific Venue Industry Congress
The Venue Management Association (Asia and Pacific) has officially launched the 2023 Asia-Pacific Venue Industry Congress which will be hosted over three days from 21st to 23rd May at Centrepiece, Melbourne Park.
As the largest annual gathering of venue industry professionals in the Asia-Pacific, the Congress has been breaking attendance records year after year with the comradery, connections and knowledge sharing at each event being second to none.
This year’s event will again deliver keynotes, plenary and breakout sessions, an exhibitor trade floor, social events, and our much-anticipated Venue Industry Awards and Gala Dinner.
VMA Chief Executive Michael Brierley noted “with the VMA celebrating its 30th Anniversary in 2023 the 30th Asia-Pacific Venue Industry Congress will take on added significance as we see an expanded social calendar that will showcase our host city Melbourne and all it has to offer. The Congress is our industry’s annual event that brings us together to learn, connect and share.”
The Congress’ education program is shaping up to be outstanding with over 20 sessions planned across a variety of industry critical, professional and soft skill development topics featuring 50 plus leading speakers and panellists.
Congress Organising Committee Chair, Matt Howe AVM added “The Committee have worked hard to deliver a program that covers all the key and emerging issues faced by our industry and seeks to challenge our delegates in every facet of their roles. We are especially pleased to announce this year’s international presenters are being headlined by technologist, innovator and inventor, Skarpi Hedinsson, who provides his global insights into the convergence of innovation and technology in the venue business.”
In his role as Chief Technology Officer at the Los Angeles Rams, Skarpi oversees the team's technology strategy, shared service delivery and management of both football and corporate technology activities. Skarpi also drove the vision for, and led the team that oversaw the implementation of technology throughout Hollywood Park, the 298-acre district being built by Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke. This includes SoFi Stadium, YouTube Theater, a 6,000- seat performance venue, as well as retail, commercial office space, a hotel and more than 20 acres of parkland.
The Exhibitor trade floor is nearing sell out with industry suppliers wanting to get back in front of key decision makers to showcase their solutions and innovations.
The event’s social program returns with a Welcome Reception, After 5! Networking and the much-anticipated Venue Industry Awards and Gala Dinner.
Early Bird pricing is now available for all new and existing VMA members.
