Virgin Active Health Clubs open latest location at Sydney's Bondi Junction

Virgin Active Health Clubs has opened its latest club with a new eight-level facility at Bondi Junction in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.

With a smaller footprint compared to when the group first launched in Australia, in Sydney's Frenchs Forest in late 2008, the new club offers purpose-built studios for cycle, boxing, Reformer Pilates, yoga and HIIT, plus a gym with a strength, cardio and outdoor functional training zone.

On its website the facility advises "with world-class coaches, the best training equipment from across the globe, premium post-workout amenities including  … hairdryers, (hair) straighteners and Apelles products, as well as the ability to book your spot in advance and choose your Reformer bed, Yoga mat, Boxing bag and bike, Virgin Active Bondi Junction will be the experience your workout deserves."

Prior to its opening on Monday 9th December, the new location received a high profile launch last month when Virgin Group and Virgin Active founder Sir Richard Branson staged a media event at Sydney's Bondi Beach.

Speaking at the launch, Sir Richard stated "I absolutely love spending time in Australia and I'm very excited to be here to celebrate the launch of our newest Virgin Active club."
