Vale: Bob Williams, senior AEG Ogden executive

The Directors of AEG Ogden, Harvey Lister and Rod Pilbeam today confirmed the sad passing of Bob Williams, the company's Group Business Manager.

Williams, 56, passed away in his sleep on Wednesday 19th September. He is survived by his wife Kerrie and son Nathan and Cameron.

Bob Williams' funeral will be held at the Centenary Memorial Gardens, Sumner Park, at 12.30pm on Wednesday 26th September.

Lister and Pilbeam paid tribute to Bob Williams who had been with AEG Ogden for more than 25 years.

Following experience in both retail and the chartered accounting sectors, he joined the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in 1987 as its Management Accountant. At the time of his passing, Williams was AEG Ogden's Group Business Manager responsible for budgeting, internal and external audit programs, insurance, risk management, corporate governance, statutory reporting, contract management, commercial negotiations and legal matters.

Williams was also a long standing member of the Venue Management Association (Asia and Pacific) Ltd and was a graduate of the International Association of Assembly Managers (IAAM) School of Facility Management in the United States.

He was also a Fellow of the Society of Certified Practicing Accountants.

Lister explained "we know that Bob's colleagues at our head office as well as the broader AEG Ogden family and the many industry contacts he had established throughout his career will be devastated to learn of Bob's passing."
