Ticketek confirmed as Perth Arena ticketing provider

Venue manager, AEG Ogden has confirmed that Ticketek has been appointed as the ticketing services provider at Perth Arena.

The selection of Ticketek followed a tender process in which a number of leading ticketing services companies responded.

The ticketing agreement commences on 1st June with the first on-sale, expected about 10 days later, for George Michael's Symphonica extravaganza which will open Western Australia's highly anticipated sports and entertainment venue on 10th November.

AEG Ogden also confirmed that several other major concert and entertainment event on-sales will be announced soon, including UK pop sensations, One Direction.

Perth Arena General Manager, David Humphreys congratulated Ticketek on its appointment and said a number excellent proposals had been received from all respondents.

Humphreys explained "it is an exciting time being only a few weeks away from putting our first tickets on sale and we believe the response from the Western Australian public will be very positive."

Ticketek Managing Director, Cameron Hoy, welcomed the announcement, adding "we are thrilled to have been appointed to what is going to be an iconic and exciting entertainment destination for the city of Perth and for Western Australians. We are excited to be in a position to help launch Perth Arena and be a partner of AEG Ogden in making it the success that we're sure it will be."

Perth Arena is a 15,500 capacity multi-purpose arena managed by AEG Ogden for the venue's owner, VenuesWest. The arena will be the home court of the Perth Wildcats (NBL grand finalists of last season), accommodate the annual Hopman Cup tennis tournament and play host to concerts, family events and other sporting events.
