Ungerboeck appoints new vice presidents
Leading venue and event management software specialists Ungerboeck Software International has announced two new executive appointments.
Bruce Higgins has been named Vice President Sales, The Americas, and Matthew Harris has joined Ungerboeck as Vice President Global Marketing. Both VPs will support Ungerboeck's aggressive, ongoing growth and expansion plans in The Americas and around the world.
Bruce Higgins joined Ungerboeck Software in June of 2011 and brings over 25 years of direct sales, sales management, and sales strategy to the company. As Vice President-Sales for The Americas, Higgins will continue to lead the Sales, Pre-Sales and Business Development Specialist Team for The Americas.
Prior to joining Ungerboeck, Higgins was the co-founder of WebMark Technologies (WMT) which provided SEO and lead generation services. Before WMT, Higgins spent 15 years with the Reynolds and Reynolds Company, the automotive industry's largest and most trusted provider of automobile dealership software, business forms and supplies, and professional services to help dealerships improve business results.
Higgins's resume also includes five years in an Executive Management role with leading IT outsourcing and value added reseller companies, such as CompuCom. He holds a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration and Economics from Illinois College.
Matt Harris has an extensive background in the technology, travel, and meetings and events industries. He brings over 20 years of experience to Ungerboeck Software International's Team. As Vice President Global Marketing, Matt will be responsible for increasing awareness of the Ungerboeck brand and the value that the company's software brings, particularly to new markets less familiar with its' advantages.
Harris joins Ungerboeck after 10 years at Maritz, a leading player in the corporate marketing and event space as Vice President of Corporate Marketing. At Maritz, Harris was responsible for creating corporate branding and communication strategies in the travel and events industries, as well as other marketing services and technology offerings. Prior to his work at Maritz, Harris was Managing Director at J. Walter
Thompson, one of the oldest and most prestigious advertising agencies in the world. At JWT, Harris was focused on international technology and business-to-business marketing.
Harris serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Incentive Research Foundation, which is heavily involved with buyers and suppliers in the meetings and events industry. Harris holds an Executive MBA from Washington University and a Bachelor's of Marketing from Missouri State University.
