Ungerboeck announces backing of Venue Management School students
Ungerboeck Software International has announced its support of the top performing year one student at the 2017 Venue Management School (VMS).
Ungerboeck, which has supported the VMS since its inception, will be providing a bursary for year two scholarship fees for Annaleise McGhee, Ticketing Manager from AEG Ogden at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena.
Welcoming the scholarship, McGhee commented “I found the course materials and instructors really engaging.
“The course content confirmed the best practice I use within my current role and provided me with new concepts that I can apply across the organisation.
“I am very grateful to Ungerboeck for the bursary and I am really looking forward to Year 2.
“I know the Diploma will be a boost for my professional development and I have already been able to forge new networks that will provide support and opportunity for me throughout my career.”
2016’s Ungerboeck Bursary winner, Georgia Hendy, went on to top the 2017 year two class.
Hendy, Executive Producer – Commercial Programming and Venue Hire at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), received the AEG Ogden Scholarship to attend the IAVM-VMS Graduate Institute in America.
Fred Lazzerini, Managing Director of Ungerboeck, Asia-Pacific, praised the winners pair, adding “we congratulate both Annaleise McGhee and Georgia Hendy on their outstanding performance at the Venue Management School held at Salt Resort Kingscliff, NSW.
“We are so proud to be a part of this program as it encourages industry professionals to achieve great things and provides a spring-board for their careers. We know the level of achievement at this year’s VMS will benefit the industry as a whole; now and into the future.”
Held in November, the 2017 VMS saw another high calibre group of students graduate from the two year course. Facilitated by the Venue Management Association (VMA), the program offers venue professionals an avenue to receive an internationally recognised Diploma qualification, and provides comprehensive content to hone leadership and venue management skills.
The 2018 Venue Management School will be held in November next year.
