TryBooking launch socially distanced seating plan
Melbourne-based self-service booking platform, TryBooking, with operations in both Australia and New Zealand, recently launched their new functionality ’Socially Distanced Seating Plans’ in response to the current event industry’s call for adjusted seated event booking systems.
TryBooking’s ’Socially Distanced Seating Plans’ allows event organisers to set rules that automatically block seats on either side of a customer's booking.
TryBooking Managing Director, Jeffery McAlister advised “we are excited to release this feature that will hopefully make running events in times of COVID that much easier for our clients and also help them stay within the capacity and spacing rules”.
This new feature provides greater ease for both event organisers and ticket buyers. Event organisers now have the choice to block out between one and five seats on either side of a booking. Alternatively, they can nominate to have every second row automatically blocked.
The best part of this new feature is that it alleviates manual calculations (and headaches) and therefore saves the event organisers lots of time. They can simply set the parameters and forget. Once set up, the system will automatically block adjacent seats. A customer can then book their seats, while free chairs on either side become automatically blocked. Meaning no other ticket buyers can select the surrounding seats.
