TodayTix launches in Brisbane to increase access to shows and experiences

TodayTix, the digital gateway to arts and cultural experiences, has launched in Brisbane, providing affordable access to tickets to some of the country’s most in-demand shows.

The expansion of TodayTix into the Brisbane market comes at a time when a number of world-class productions are to soon make their Brisbane debut, including the highly-anticipated hit musical MARY POPPINS at QPAC’s Lyric Theatre.

As part of the Brisbane launch, TodayTix is running its signature digital Lottery for the upcoming season of MARY POPPINS. The digital Lottery gives theatregoers the chance to access $45 tickets, providing opportunity for a greater number of people to experience this acclaimed production. The Lottery opened today, Friday 14th October, and will be drawn next Thursday at 1pm, with a limited number of tickets available per show. The Lottery will continue to run each week, opening every Friday with winners drawn the following Thursday, for the upcoming week’s performances. 

Australian producer Michael Cassel is excited to bring the success of the MARY POPPINS Lottery to Brisbane and adds “being able to introduce a brand-new generation to Mary’s magic in Sydney has been a joy, and the accessibility of the Lottery has helped us reach even more people – which is important as we continue to inspire and develop new audiences for theatre in Australia. Following its hit season in Sydney, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s “practically perfect” new production of MARY POPPINS commences at QPAC’s Lyric Theatre on 22nd October . Adapted from the beloved stories by Queensland-born author PL Travers and the original Disney film; the magical tale of the world’s favourite Nanny comes to life on stage in this spectacular and unforgettable production.

TodayTix has also announced a new partnership with QPAC as its preferred Digital Access Program Partner for mobile Rush. Once Rush is launched with QPAC, patrons will be able to seamlessly purchase ‘rush’ tickets to select performances via TodayTix’s leading API technology which will directly integrate with QPAC’s primary ticketing system. The new partnership addresses a need in the market for a ‘last minute’ and lottery ticketing option and extends QPAC’s commitment to making live performing arts experiences accessible to as many people as possible.
