Ticketmaster to partner Sydney Royal Easter Show

The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) has announced that Ticketmaster will be the ticketing partner for the Sydney Royal Easter Show for the next five years (from 2015 to 2019).

The Show is Australia’s largest annual ticketed event, attracting close to 900,000 visitors annually. Celebrating everything that is great about the country – its people, animals and produce – the Show packs great value into 14 days of fun and discovery.

The new partnership will provide Showgoers with quick and easy access to secure tickets via a number of channels, including mobile devices and a Print-at-Home service that allows customers to easily access their tickets.

RAS Chief Executive Michael Kenny said the benefits that Ticketmaster will bring to the Show include a full service end-to-end ticketing solution, enhanced marketing opportunities and a commitment to delivering a ‘blue ribbon’ service.

Kenny stated “the RAS is constantly looking at ways to provide a superior level of service to Showgoers and ticketing is a major factor that contributes to their overall experience.

“We are excited about our new partnership with Ticketmaster, which will see an innovative and integrated approach to ticketing.”

Ticketmaster Managing Director, Maria O’Connor, said she was proud to partner with one of Australia’s most historic events, adding “Ticketmaster is thrilled to partner with the Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales to provide ticketing services for the Sydney Royal Easter Show, one of Australia’s most iconic events.

“We are committed to providing our clients and customers with the best products, tools, technology and services to make the ticket buying process simple and engaging.

“Ticketmaster has extensive experience providing ticketing services for large-scale events across Australia and we look forward to a long and successful partnership with the RAS and the Sydney Royal Easter Show.”

Ticketmaster will replace The Ticket Group who elected not to tender for the ticketing rights after providing services for the past three years.
