Rolly Pollies children's fitness franchise opens in Hong Kong: targets Australia
Having recently opened its first Asian facility in Hong Kong, US-based children's fitness franchise Rolly Pollies is looking to expand into Australia.
Founded by US Naval Academy graduates John Mann and Joe Dondero in 2003, Rolly Pollies aims to "develop children physically, intellectually and socially inorder to build self-esteem and confidence needed for a healthy and successful life."
Aimed at children between the ages of six months and six years, Rolly Pollies facilities' offer gym/motor, art and music programs as well as birthday parties and camps.
The gym/motor skills program is divided into five nine-week sessions with each week focussing on a new major skill appropriate to the participants age.
The music program sees children take part in 45 minutes classes that introduce them to different musical sounds, styles and tonalities.
The creative arts program is designed to foster creativity in children and it touches on a range of different art mediums and textures, all of which vary according to age.
With 10 facilities in the USA, Rolly Pollies of Hong Kong, located in Causeway Bay, is its first overseas location, with Mann and Dondero having plans to expand to Australia.
A spokesperson for Rolly Pollies of Hong Kong recently explained that the franchisor is looking for franchisees with "a passion for kids and an education or coaching background, particularly in the areas of sport or gymnastics."
