Canterbury Europe collapse won't affect local operations

Canterbury New Zealand says the collapse of its European subsidiary, Canterbury Europe, won't affect its operations in Australia and New Zealand.
Canterburyâs major deals in the Australasian region include domestic rugby in New Zealand through the Air NZ Cup teams and the Wallabies as well as the South African Rugby team.
The Christchurh-based company has also recently finalised deals with the NZ Warriors NRL club and has a deal with the Queensland State of Origin team.
The company also recently moved into cricket with a deal with New Zealand international cricket team the Black Caps.
It is understood that the expansion of Canterbury Europe into new areas during a difficult market caused the collapse.
