Ticketmaster enables enhanced Apple Wallet ticket experience for Australian Open

The Australian Open will be the first event in Australia to give fans a new and enhanced ticket experience in Apple Wallet.

Having been the first ticketing company globally to enable the new, enhanced ticket experience in Apple Wallet in the USA, Ticketmaster is expanding the feature internationally for the first time, launching in Australia with its debut at the 2025 Australian Open as of tomorrow (12th January).

Tickets in Apple Wallet now puts key event information at fans’ fingertips, such as a map of the venue, a curated Australian Open playlist from Apple Music, and easy access to location sharing with Find My to help fans find their friends when they arrive.

Ticketmaster’s new tickets take advantage of Apple Wallet’s enhanced ticketing experience with new designs customised for the Australian Open.

Fans will be able to interact with the new ticket experience in Apple Wallet on their iPhone to easily gain access to explore accessibility information, key venue information, event guides, merchandise and more - all in one convenient place.

Arena maps will also be visible, depending on the ticket type, so fans can easily locate the section and find their seats.

Ticketmaster’s new tickets in Apple Wallet will debut in Australia starting with the 2025 Australian Open across all AO events from Sunday 12th January.

Fans on iOS 18.0 or later will be able to securely add their ticket to Apple Wallet through the Ticketmaster app.

Announcing the innovation, Ticketmaster Australia Managing Director, Gavin Taylor stated “working closely with Apple and the Australia Open, we are proud to be the first market outside of the US to deliver the enhanced ticket in Apple Wallet experience to fans.

“Bringing this enhancement to fans will allow us to deliver an unbeatable event day experience, throughout the Australian Open.”
