TEG appoints Matt Cudworth as Chief Technology Officer
Leading ticketing, live content and data analytics company TEG has announced the appointment of Matt Cudworth as its Chief Technology Officer.
Cudworth joins TEG from a senior executive role with the multinational CSC, a global leader in providing technology enabled business solutions and services.
He brings a unique range of skills and experience across technology, innovation and commercial matters to TEG.
Cudworth has worked on a diverse array of customer facing projects from sport to banking across the spectrum of software and cloud computing.
TEG Chief Executive Geoff Jones said the appointment was a significant step in TEG’s integration strategy across the three pillars of ticketing, live content and data, stating “Matt’s strength is that he is much more than a clever and energetic CTO with a strong customer focus.
“He has business acumen, an eye for innovation and will thrive in our fast-moving sector.
“As a company with a focus on technology, the skills he brings are ideal for TEG as we continue our growth in Australia and New Zealand and our expansion into Asia.”
Cudworth is excited by the opportunity presented by TEG’s technology businesses, including Ticketek, Softix, TEG Analytics, TEG Rewards and Eventopia, commenting “it's a privilege to join TEG.
“There’s a strong track record of innovation and a very talented team in place. I’m excited to be part of the growth and expansion that’s ahead of us.”
Cudworth’s appointment comes as incumbent Chief Technology Officer Greg Fahy moves into a new international role with TEG as General Manager Softix and Head of Global Markets.
Fahy will relocate to Europe to take TEG’s ticketing software platform Softix into new markets while maintaining the impressive global client base.
Jones paid tribute to Fahy’s legacy as a key developer of the Softix platform that powers the Ticketek network, adding “Greg has made a huge contribution to the development of the Softix platform and has been a pioneer in the ticketing sector.
“It is a sign of his achievement that our proprietary technology has been exported to the world.
“The good news is that Greg will remain full-time with TEG and will regularly come back to Australia to work across the business. It’s the best of both worlds for Greg and TEG.”
