Kyle Patterson departs FFA for TEG
Football Federation Australia’s Head of Corporate Affairs and Communications Kyle Patterson will leave the FFA after five years to take up an executive position with ticketing, live entertainment and data analytics company TEG Pty Ltd.
Patterson will take up the role of TEG’s Head of Communications and Corporate Affairs, with the group’s portfolio of businesses includes Ticketek, TEG Live and TEG Dainty, Qudos Bank Arena.
Announcing his career move, Patterson explained “it’s been an exhilarating five years for the game with many ground-breaking projects at domestic and international level. It’s was a privilege to be part of the Westfield FFA Cup launch and the rejuvenation of the Caltex Socceroos under Ange Postecoglou.
“It’s indisputable that football’s best years are ahead of us and David and the FFA management team are well placed to deliver the next phase of growth.
“My decision to leave comes as the new board gets down to business under Steven Lowy and the new Strategic Plan is rolled out for the next four years. It’s the right time for me to move to a new challenge with TEG.
Acknowledging Patterson’s service, FFA Chief Executive commented “first and foremost, Kyle is a passionate advocate for Australian football.
“He brought deep insights into football and strategic thinking to FFA’s business. The Western Sydney Wanderers are probably the most successful start-up in Australian sports history and Kyle was there on day one to build the brand and sell the story.
“In the same way, the ‘We Are Football’ campaign united many football fans and helped deliver sustained growth for the Hyundai A-League.
“Kyle was a key contributor to our senior management team with a sharp eye on the issues and opportunities for the game. He can be proud of his achievements.”
