Technogym spotlights its contribution to 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics as official fitness equipment supplier
With the Paris 2024 Olympic Games recently completed and with the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games being held from 28th August to 8th September, Technogym has spotlighted their contribution as official fitness equipment supplier.
Technogym, as Official Supplier, worked for months alongside the Olympic Committee in designing the training spaces for Olympic and Paralympic champions for the duration of the competitions.
In Paris, Technogym equipped 29 training centres for the athletes to train prior to and during the Olympic Games. The main training centre, equipped for the need of all sport disciplines is the Olympic and Paralympic Village in Saint Denis, while other training centres specifically designed for different sport disciplines are located at the competition venues and at the off-Paris Olympic Villages in Lille, Marseilles and Tahiti.
A total number of approximately 1.200 pieces of equipment have been made available to the 14.900 athletes – between Olympic and Paralympic, coming from over 200 different countries and performing in 32 different Olympic Sports and 22 Paralympic Sports. Moreover, Technogym provided and continues to provide a team of professional athletic trainers to support the athletes as well as all related services (gym layout, installation and technical service).
Paris 2024 athletes have access to training on a selection of the best and most innovative products covering all training areas such as cardio, strength and functional training. All Technogym smart equipment is connected within Technogym Ecosystem, allowing athletes to access their personal athletic training program both on equipment and via Technogym App on their smartphone.
Nerio Alessandri, President and Founder of Technogym noted “we are very proud to be the Official and Exclusive Supplier of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. At Technogym, we work every day to create the most innovative products and digital technologies to support athletes all over the world improving their performance and reaching their goals. The partnership with the Olympic Games means a lot to us, not only because of the invaluable feedback we get from the athletes, but above all because the Games represent a unique platform for sharing our commitment to spreading the culture of wellness, sport and health with the whole world”.
Technogym and Olympic Games
From Sydney 2000 to Paris 2024, Technogym has been proud to have been repeatedly chosen as the Official Supplier to each of The Games. This close relationship, spanning almost two decades, is the result of closely matching values. In fact, the Olympic Games are not only the largest sporting events in the world, but also a celebration of sport that promotes the culture of mental and physical wellness on a global scale.
As Official Supplier, Technogym has provided its most innovative equipment and technology to the athletes’ training centres for the last seven editions of The Games. This historical involvement with professional athletes and a variety of sporting disciplines has proved fundamental to Technogym’s ability to design innovative technology and products, through the gathering of valuable insights and feedback from athletes.
Technogym’s commitment to the Olympic Games goes far beyond the supply of equipment and technology. The company's partnership with the Olympics has become a powerful communication platform through which to leverage sports and achieve the core mission: to make the entire population globally understand the importance of physical activity.
