Technogym adapts Mywellness ecosystem to integrate with equipment from other manufacturers

Having been investing for years in its Mywellness digital ecosystem, Technogym has advised that the platform's accessibility has been extended so that it can be used on any brand of connected equipment.

Announced at the FIBO fitness fair in Germany last week, the development means that operators who offer Mywellness will be able to plug the service into equipment with the Bluetooth Fitness Machine protocol from companies including Life Fitness, Matrix and Precor, with the data then collated by Mywellness.

Technogym open platform can be easily integrated with software applications (membership software, marketing and payment platforms, body analysis and assessment devices) and fitness equipment (from any manufacturer) already used by the club or with members consumer apps and wearable devices.

MyWellness also allows clubs to accelerate their digital strategy, improving member’s experiences and, according to Technogym, increasing return on investment thanks to increases in attraction rate, retention (+20%), upselling and secondary spend (+100%).

Announcing the open platform strategy at FIBO, Technogym releases a statement advising “we have been investing for years in this unique digital ecosystem, with the objective of growing the industry, making it more attractive to end users and more credible for institutional stakeholders - such as insurance, health systems, the medical world."

Technogym President and founder, Nerio Alessandri described the ecosystem as the only end-to-end solution able to "adapt to the lifestyle of each user and to the business needs of operators".

He added “the Technogym Ecosystem connects every individual user to their own personalised training experience - anytime, anywhere.”

Technogym confirmed as Official Supporter to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games
Technogym  has also announced its status as Official and Exclusive supporter of fitness equipment and digital technologies for the athlete preparation at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games - representing the company’s ninth Olympic experience after Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, Turin 2006, Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016, PyeongChang 2018 and Tokyo 2020.

In Paris, Technogym will equip 29 training centres for the athletes to train prior to and during the Olympic Games, including the main training centre at the Olympic and Paralympic Village in Saint Denis, while other training centres specifically designed for different sport disciplines will be located at the competition venues and at the off-Paris Olympic Villages in Lille, Marseilles and Tahiti.

Within the centres, approximately 1,200 pieces of equipment will be made available to the 14,900 Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

Besides the partnership with the Olympic Games, Technogym’s partners include major European football clubs such as Real Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, the Italian and Brazilian national teams, the Ferrari and McLaren teams in Formula 1, the French and US Tennis Federation as well as the renowned PGA Golf Tour.
