Sydney Olympic Park to host CEBIT Australia 2014

Sydney Olympic Park will play host to more than 30,000 business people this May, when Australia's leading business event CeBIT Australia will be held at Sydney Showground for the first time since its inception.

Now in its 13th year, CeBIT Australia 2014 will deliver a stellar line-up of seven conferences on key business trends as well as intensive workshops, an in-depth program of Campus Sessions on mastering business-change and, more than 500 exhibitors from 5th to 7th May 2014.

Event Managing Director Jackie Taranto said CeBIT Australia is Asia Pacific's most influential and important business event, with this year's focus on leveraging the digital economy to improve business performance.

Taranto explained "CeBIT is a must-attend event for those in the business community who want to discover how new technologies can empower their business.

"Our new home at Sydney Olympic Park will provide an inspiring experience for business people, international and local thought leaders and an impressive line-up of exhibitors.

"With several on-site hotels providing a range of accommodation options, restaurants and cafes as well as extensive parklands at Sydney Olympic Park, our new venue will help CeBIT Australia to continue to grow and attract leading decision makers."

Sydney Olympic Park generates well in excess of $1 billion annually for the New South Wales economy through concerts, elite sporting fixtures, exhibitions and conferences.

Home to Sydney's second largest exhibition facility, offering 22,000 metres2 of continuous clear-span exhibition space, with an extra 10,000 metres2 of exhibition space due for completion early 2014, Sydney Olympic Park hosts more than 2,800 business events each year.

The Park has 10 different business event venues, offering more than 100 function rooms and outdoor spaces for small groups of 10 to large groups of 21,000.
