Adventure and outdoor conference focusing on the future
Adventure and outdoor tourism operators will have the opportunity to focus on growing their sector at the one-day Great Adventure 2015 conference in July.
Organised by the Tourism Industry Association New Zealand (TIANZ), the Great Adventure 2015 is the only conference specifically for New Zealand’s adventure and outdoor tourism sector.
Now in its third year, the event will focus on growing a strong and unified sector that succeeds and leads at every level from safety to profitability.
Looking forward to the event, TIANZ Chief Executive Chris Roberts explains “the programme provides opportunities for participants to gather insight on building quality businesses, to meet and talk with key individuals in government agencies, and to share experiences with their peers.
“We have a great line-up of speakers who will bring our Grow - Lead - Succeed theme to life.”
The programme will begin with a networking function hosted by the Department of Conservation (DOC) on the evening of Thursday 2nd July, followed by a full day of presentations and workshops on Friday 3rd July at Rydges Wellington.
Keynote speaker Michael Henderson will focus on developing and sustaining a strong business culture, a crucial ingredient for long term success.
Other speakers include representatives from WorkSafe New Zealand, Maritime New Zealand, DOC, the Civil Aviation Authority, Lane Neave Lawyers, Tourism New Zealand and Quality Tourism Development.
Roberts adds “we are really excited about the strong and relevant speaker programme. There is something for everyone and I’m sure every adventure tourism operator will take away valuable tips for their business.”
Early bird registrations for the event are available until Friday 29th May.
TIANZ members qualify for a preferential rate and any operator bringing more than one person to the event will qualify for additional savings.
