Supercats partner with Foxtix

The Geelong Supercats have entered into an agreement with ticketing agency Foxtix for the 2012 South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL) season.

The new Foxtix ticketing system will give fans a fast, easy and convenient way of purchasing Supercats home game tickets - either online, via phone, or in person at the Geelong Arena.

As well as providing simple to use print at home PDF tickets, the system will manage season memberships, allow users to choose their own seat online or be allocated a seat on a best available basis and sell packages.

Foxtix provide ticketing for major sporting events such as the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix and Australian Moto GP.

In addition to this, Foxtix provide ticketing to numerous exhibitions, concerts and festivals across Australia, such as the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, Sydney Royal Easter Show and the Womadelaide Festival.

Most recently Foxtix ticketed the Xzibit concert that was held at the home of the Supercats, the Geelong Arena.

Entering the Australian ticketing market just a year ago, Foxtix's flexible approach to ticketing, coupled with the significant marketing reach of the News Limited family, has seen a number of high profile organisations adopt the Foxtix technology.

Foxtix Chief Executive says that he is looking forward to working with the Supercats, stating "we are very excited to be working in partnership with the Geelong Supercats, they are a very successful organisation that really look after their fans. We look forward to working with them to help achieve their goals."

Supercats General Manager, David Hoey suggests that the announcement brings a new level of professionalism to the venue that was voted the best in league in 2011 by a player's poll conducted by SEABL.

Hoey adds "we are widely regarded as one of the best in the league when it comes to game night presentation. We are constantly looking for ways to raise our standards and continue putting on a great show for our fans.

"This is a really exciting venture for us, as it means that we not only have the ability to streamline our ticketing process, but also to reach a wider audience with the inclusion of online ticket sales."

The new ticketing system is expected to be launched in late January, with the sale ofickets to the Supercats' first home game of 2012 - being held on Saturday 16th March against the Nunawading Spectres.
