Supercars deal sees CUB secure beer rights to more top level Australian sport

Carlton & United Breweries has today announced a new three-year partnership that will see it become the official beer and cider partner of the Repco Supercars Championship until the end of 2024.

The new partnership, which includes CUB brands Victoria Bitter, Carlton Draught, Great Northern Super Crisp, 4 Pines Pacific Ale and Somersby Cider available to fans to enjoy trackside and in hospitality suites, means the Japanese owned brewer has now secured official beer category for key top level Australian sports with Supercars partnership adding to its AFL, NRL, Cricket Australia and the Australian Open partnerships.

CUB’s return to motorsport sees it replace XXXX Gold and Coopers.

The sponsorship will align with CUB’s official beer status in the NRL with VB, the AFL with Carlton Draught, the Australian Open with Peroni and Cricket Australia with 4 Pines.

It adds to pourage rights held with numerous NRL and AFL clubs, turf racing venues and individual events like Geelong’s Festival of Sales.

CUB’s Glenn Thiele, General Manager - Field Sales & On Premise, was pleased to reaffirm CUB’s proud sponsorship of Supercars, which first began over 20 years ago, commenting “we’re delighted to reignite our partnership with Australia’s top motorsport category and see CUB products served to fans at events over the next three years.

"CUB has a rich history with Supercars and we’re proud to be continuing to develop world-class fan engagement initiatives to support this world-class Championship."

Earlier this week Coopers announced a sponsorship deal for the World Surf League’s Australian events.
