Sportscover partners with Sport Climbing Australia to offer insurance for climbers

Sport Climbing Australia has commenced 2021 by securing an official partnership with Sportscover to provide indoor and outdoor climbing insurance to recreational and competitive climbers.

With Sportscover Australia the official insurance partner of Sport Climbing Australia (SCA), the covers carries the endorsement of the sporting body.

In addition, when people sign up to Sportscover’s $175 Annual Personal Accident Insurance for Sport Climbers a small portion of the premium you pay in buying a policy is returned to SCA as revenue for the development of the sport.

Polices cover indoor climbing and outdoor climbing, including lead, bouldering and speed climbing.

Cover includes:

Physiotherapy and other medical
$3,000 Non Medicare Medical expenses cover. $100 excess. This includes physiotherapy, chiropractic, dental and massage.

Death and permanent Disability
Up to $75,000 cover for death and paraplegia. Scaled benefits for other disabilities such as $26,250 for loss of use of one arm or one leg.

Loss of Income
Up to $500 per week cover up to 52 weeks. 21 day excess period. If you can't work because of your injury, then this cover might be the financial lifeline that you need.

Hiking
Cover includes hiking or walking to the climbing location.

SCA also has a link with Blue Sky Insurance for home and car insurance.
