SCW Fitness Education to present global Aqua Exercise Summit

Highlighting that swimming pools are “the safest exercise environments”, USA-based SCW Fitness Education, a leading provider of continuing fitness education and known for MANIA® Fitness Conferences, will be launching a specialist convention, the Aqua Exercise Summit on Saturday 1st May.

The one-day live-streamed event will feature 24 sessions led by leading aqua trainers with workshops on topics including HIIT, active ageing, mind-body, strength training and GX designed to bolster aquatic knowledge and expand career potential.

Announcing the event, SCW Fitness Education advise “Aqua Exercise Summit attendees will gain a competitive edge by honing core-skills and learning innovative choreography and programming to prepare for a successful, profitable career.”

Setting the scene for the Summit, SCW Fitness Education advise “as fitness facilities continue to reopen, members are flocking to the pools in record numbers, creating an unprecedented demand for certified aqua instructors.

“The pandemic (has seen) aquatic exercise experience exponential growth in popularity, due to pools being the safest exercise environments.

“Substantiated by the (US Government) Centers for Disease Control, no scientific evidence existed reporting the spread of COVID-19 through pools, hot tubs, or among other chemically treated aquatic venues.

“Guidelines for safe aquatic practices, including social distancing - about the length of a pool noodle, use of face masks (except in the water), increased ventilation and the regular cleaning/disinfecting of equipment and supplies, along with the use of chlorine and bromine, were implemented to ensure safety and maintain the integrity of the aquatic environment.”

As facility restrictions relax and pools reopen, SCW Fitness Education report that aquatic exercise instructors and innovative programming are in high demand.

Looking forward to next weekend’s event SCW Fitness Education Chief Executive, Sara Kooperman explains “we are thrilled to offer our first aquatic specialty convention. This has been over 30 years in the making. SCW has been offering aquatic certifications and programming for decades and are bursting to offer this magnificent and intense full day convention.

“Innovative, educational and easily applicable workshops make this virtual conference an absolute treasure.”

Ann Gilbert, Aqua Exercise Summit presenter added “I am thankful to have the opportunity to learn from the best in the industry and pledge to continue to discover and create. You have inspired me. SCW Fitness Education is a great resource for aquatic pros and I am proud to be on the SCW team.”

SCW Fitness Education has been in business for 38 years and is the largest provider of continuing education conferences in the world focusing on group fitness and personal training with an emphasis on execution, leadership and management.
