SCG Trust to welcome Stephen Saunders as General Manager – Events and Operations
The Sydney Cricket and Sportsground Trust has announced that Stephen Saunders has been appointed as its General Manager – Events and Operations.
Set to commence with the SCG Trust in the middle of May, Saunders has extensive experience across the entertainment and sporting industries.
In his current role as Head of Sport at TEG Live he is responsible for the strategic, financial, marketing and operational aspects of TEG sporting events including NCAA Football, FIBA Basketball, the International Champions Cup and International Ice Hockey.
Prior to TEG had roles with Nine Live, Ticketek, Vodafone and IMG.
Saunders is familiar with all aspects of major event planning and operations and he has strong contacts with stakeholders, NSW Police and other Government agencies.
He is expected to bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and new ideas to the role which will ensure the continued delivery of successful events for our sports partners and patrons.
