Safer and more accessible amenities completed for HBF Arena
The recently completed amenities block at HBF Arena, located in the northern Perth suburb of Joondalup, will provide safer and more accessible bathroom facilities for netball and hockey sporting clubs based at the venue.
The completion of the $950,000 amenities will service the thriving sports community in the northern suburbs.
Joondalup Netball Association and Joondalup Laker's Hockey Club have been working with VenuesWest to deliver this great outcome for their clubs.
The new amenities block includes four female bathrooms with a total of 29 toilets, one male bathroom, and two universally accessible toilets with change tables plus a cleaners' store.
The completion of the facilities means that players, officials, and spectators now have conveniently located essential amenities, without the need to use those inside the venue.
WA Sport and Recreation Minister David Templeman notes "the new amenities cater for the thousands of players, officials, and spectators that use the netball courts and hockey pitch every year.
"Last year HBF Arena welcomed over 1.4 million visitors, these new facilities help ensure that the appropriate amenities are in place to support the increasing patronage."
Local state member for Joondalup MLA Emily Hamilton added "These new amenities will support the great sporting facilities already in place at HBF Arena. Local sporting club members and supporters can now enjoy enhanced safety and improved convenience when accessing essential facilities.”
