S30 nightclub simulating fitness studio to open on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast

S30 Studio, an Australian hybrid group training franchise offering a group fitness experience immersed in a space with nightclub-style LED lighting and pumping music, has advised that former Australian professional downhill mountain bike racer Rhys Willemse has joined forces with local powerlifter Jacob Lavender to open a new S30 Studio in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast on 25th May.

S30 Maroochydore will mark Queensland's second studio, following on from the opening of Mermaid Beach in late 2022 which is co-owned and run by retired Brisbane Broncos player, Jordan Kahu.

A fully-immersive experience like no other, S30 has become an Australian fitness sensation, challenging the industry status quo with its  lights off, sweat on environment and hybrid workouts.

With an epic mix of music and movements, S30 Marochydore's progression-based training program features a collection of strength and conditioning hybrid classes. Each class promises to work up a sweat and help members build towards their fitness goals as they power through 30 sets, across 18 stations, in under 45 minutes.

S30 Maroochydore will build on S30’s existing footprint across Queensland, which includes a studio in Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast. Earlier this year, former Fitstop APAC Chief Executive, Alan Myers joined S30 to spearhead the brand’s rapid expansion in Queensland with the establishment of a Brisbane HQ.

S30 Studio Chief Executive and Co-Founder, Luke Faulkner said the opening of S30 Maroochydore marks the first of a rapid expansion of the S30 offering in Queensland.

Faulkner enthused “S30 Maroochydore is the start of an exciting journey for our studios in Queensland, as we begin our rapid expansion in the region. We’re thrilled to have Rhys and Jacob join us in opening our first studio in the Sunshine Coast and build our existing footprint across Brisbane and the Gold Coast to truly create a fitness experience like no other for Queensland locals to enjoy.”

S30 Maroochydore Co-Owner, Rhys Willemse said he is looking forward to bringing the S30 experience to the Sunshine Coast and added “Since my early years as a professional downhill mountain bike racer, my passion for training has remained steadfast. With the opening of S30 in Maroochydore, we aim to deliver a truly unique training experience to people in the Sunshine Coast and support a positive movement in a world where every person is excited to train.”

S30 credits its success to its strong foundations of rebelling against the norm, staying accountable, being inclusive, offering a fun environment and working as a community. Their vision of “creating a world where everybody is excited to train” means they are cutting the stigma associated with group fitness, creating a unique fitness experience like no other.

S30 Maroochydore will open on 25th May and is located at 1/29 Maud Street
