Royal Life Saving launches new look website

Royal Life Saving Society Australia (RLSSA) has launched a new redesigned website that aims to offer simplicity and ease of use for its four key customer groups - those seeking first aid or lifesaving training, families, schools, and the aquatic industry.

The new website, which allows quick and easy navigation and immediate access to relevant information, has been completely redesigned to offer simplicity and ease of use to Royal Life Saving's key customer groups, allowing quick and easy navigation and immediate access to relevant information.

The site continues to provide the latest water safety and drowning prevention information and includes several new features such as:

• Integration with social media platforms, to keep users updated on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube;
• An events schedule of key industry dates;
• A searchable facts and figures database;
• A simple booking function for those seeking courses.

The new website reminds browsers that "drowning continues to be a significant issue in Australia (with) approximately 300 people drowning every year and ... concerning trends such as one in every five primary school children (being) unable to meet the minimum water safety standard of swimming 50 metres and treading water for two minutes."

As a result, RLSSA stress "there has never been a greater need for easily accessible water safety information."

In other Royal Life Saving news, Australasian Leisure Management has learned that RLSSA national Chief Executive Rob Bradley is to leave the organisation.

A statement on Bradley's departure is expected.
