REVL Training announces MOVE [REPEAT] investment to drive international expansion

Looking to drive plans to enter multiple global markets and lift group revenue, Australian-founded boutique fitness lifestyle brand REVL Training has received a strategic investment from Singapore-based brand collective MOVE [REPEAT]

Announced today, the investment is intended to see REVL double its location footprint and increase network revenue more than six-fold in three years.

Launched in 2020 by Ben Woolford and Josh Mildren with a focus on performance-based group training, REVL has grown from four Australian locations in 2021 to operating 35 studios in Australia (across NSW, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria), Dubai, Singapore and South Korea with a global customer base of more than 6,500.

In the last financial year, REVL’s network revenue was over $11 million and is projected to grow to $68 million by 2028.

The investment, for an undisclosed sum, from MOVE [REPEAT] is intended to fuel plans for expansion further into Southeast Asia, while also entering new markets such as New Zealand, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

MOVE [REPEAT] has a history of successfully supporting the growth and expansion of fitness brands, having acquired Yoga Movement's 10-location business in 2023 and cementing STRONG Pilates’ Asia entry, launching four new Singapore locations within its first year.

MOVE [REPEAT] has aspirations to grow its Yoga Movement brand, with plans to expand into Australia and multiple Asian markets, following its entry into Hong Kong in late 2024. The group intends to round out its offering with up to five modalities by 2027.

Commenting on the investment, Woolford stated “while other fitness brands at our growth stage might focus on unbridled expansion, we would prefer to scale in a measured and mindful way, ensuring that the end-user remains at the core of everything we do.

“As a result, we chose to partner with MOVE [REPEAT] due to our shared commitment to shaping the future of fitness on a global scale.

Peter Thew, co-founder of MOVE [REPEAT], added “we view REVL as the fitness industry's best-kept secret.

“At its core, REVL is a positive, community-focused network, and as a result, it has experienced phenomenal, organic growth over the past few years. Together, there is an opportunity to tap into the unique growth opportunities offered by the global fitness industry, while still retaining what makes the REVL offering special.”

Yoga Movement co-founders Thew and Alicia Pan form the leadership of MOVE [REPEAT] alongside Allen Law, the founder of Park Hotel Group.
