It covers personal trainers, gym operators/owners, yoga instructors, Pilates instructors, group fitness instructors, aerobics instructors, and bootcamp instructors, with cover for other professions also available on request.

Professional Indemnity insurance provides cover for claims that may arise from a breach of duty of care that instructors are obliged to provide as a qualified fitness professional. For example, when a client (or other third party) may allege that they have suffered a loss due to negligence in the advice, design or service provided by the instructor.

Their 'loss' may include any or all of bodily injury, property damage or financial loss. For instance, if a client injures their back and alleges it is due to advice while working out under an instructor’s guidance and is unable to work for an extended period.
