Reopening approved for Plus Fitness Campbelltown following temporary COVID-19 closure

Plus Fitness Campbelltown, has advised that they have received approval by the Department of Health to reopen their 24/7 gym following their temporary COVID-19 related closure.

In a message on their Facebook page, Plus Fitness 24/7 Campbelltown management confirmed both the closure and the approval to reopen.

Following the attendance of someone at Plus Fitness Campbelltown on Saturday 11th July between 9am and 10am, who has since been confirmed as having had Coronavirus at that time, Plus Fitness 24/7 Campbelltown were requested by the NSW Department of Health to close their gym overnight to allow for a deep clean to be conducted.

This deep clean was completed by Plus Fitness Campbelltown’s commercial cleaning company with all documentation provided to the Department of Health who according to a statement on Plus Fitness Campbelltown’s facebook page have now been approved to reopen the gym.

Plus Fitness Campbelltown advise that “If you attended the gym on 11th July between 9am and 10am, the Department of Health will be contacting you direct. The advice we have been provided is that anyone with symptoms of Covid-19 should get tested at a Covid-19 testing clinic.

“The wellbeing of our members and staff remain our highest priority.”

NSW Department of Health is currently investigating these new cases in Campbelltown alongside those linked to the Crossroads Hotel cluster.

NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard says three unknown cases that are being tracked by authorities are a 'timely reminder' that the virus remains a threat to the community.
