Plus Fitness opens three new clubs across two states
With gyms now reopening across Australia following their forced closure due to COVID-19, Australian owned 24 hour gym franchise group, Plus Fitness has announced the opening of two brand new gyms in NSW, with a third scheduled to open on 24th June in Victoria.
Despite various state based restrictions, Plus Fitness has reopened in all states and territories with only Victoria remaining, which is set to open next week.
Amid the challenges that the small business sector has faced over this period and specifically the fitness industry, Plus Fitness has not allowed this to slow its growth in the market.
These new gyms are at Edmondson Park and Ambarvale in NSW and Clyde North in Victoria.
Commenting on the reopening of gyms and Plus Fitness’ plans for the future, Franchisor and Co-Owner, John Fuller advised “we have used the time we have been closed to focus on improving many things within our business, as well as ensuring we come out of the current climate stronger than ever.
“As well as having two new clubs open in the first week of restriction easing in NSW, we are also opening a third new club in Victoria next week.
“In addition, we currently have a further 42 franchise territories sold of which 18 have a secured property and are in the various stages of fit-out and establishment.
“Whereas there is no mistaking that the recent events placed a great deal of strain on the Fitness Industry, we cannot allow this to slow our efforts in maintaining our previous and sustained growth”.
Fellow Plus Fitness Franchisor and Co-Owner Nigel Miller added “the Fitness Industry remains buoyant and we are seeing it bounce back stronger than ever as we work our way out of the remaining restrictions placed on us across the country.
“The entire Fitness Industry plays a critical role in ensuring the health and wellbeing, both physical and mental, of our local community and this cannot be ignored.
“We have seen an overwhelming level of support from our members during this time and especially now as they return to the gym.
“We have also seen new member acquisition up 11% on this time last year indicating the value our communities place on their health and wellbeing at this time.”
All three new Plus Fitness gyms have attracted much local attention and excitement with Plus Fitness Ambarvale, NSW attracting over 125 members in a little over a week prior to opening.
These new Plus Fitness gyms are situated at:
Plus Fitness 24/7 Edmondson Park, 2074 Camden Valley Way, Edmondson Park, NSW 2174.
Plus Fitness 24/7 Ambarvale, 67 Woodhouse Drive, Ambarvale, NSW 2560.
