Regeneration Projects’ Birrarung work recognised in City of Yarra Community Awards
Environmental consultancy Regeneration Projects has been honoured for its 'Contribution to Sustainability' at the City of Yarra Community Awards 2024.
Regeneration Projects award was presented in recognition of its efforts towards making the Birrarung/Yarra River swimmable by 2030.
The initiative brings together leaders from various sectors to promote biodiversity, climate resilience, and cultural connection.
To date, its key achievements include the Swimmable Cities Handbook, the Two Bays Podcas, and collaborative events with the Yarra Riverkeeper Association, all aimed at inspiring collective stewardship of the river.
Judges noted “their work highlights the Birrarung as both a natural partner and a vital community asset for future generations.”
