Refurbishment revealed at Exhibition Park in Canberra

Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) has unveiled modern, elegant spaces to provide a welcoming atmosphere for industry and social events available to the local community and interstate business.

As EPIC General Manager Liz Clarke explains "the newly refurbished Conference centre provides event planners with an extraordinary opportunity for hosting remarkable business and social gatherings.

"The new interior design creates a contemporary and stylish space that includes operable walls, allowing event planners to create enclosed rooms for conference sessions, or broad open spaces for exhibitions and breakout sessions.

"Boosting a welcoming new foyer featuring purpose built registration area and conference secretariat, guests will be made to feel comfortable in the main room which accommodates up to 540 people.

"The spacious foyers are perfect for catering or small trade exhibitions and the two additional break out areas on the first floor offers convenience of maintaining all delegates in a small yet functional facility."

The Conference Centre is linked to two other EPIC venues, Budawang Pavilion and Coorong Pavilion making it Canberra's largest conference venue and a perfect location to facilitate events with large plenary, breakouts and tradeshow, or the consumer show offering a seminar series or that has outgrown the single pavilion.

The Conference Centre refurbishment coincided with a major capital investment in the Conference Centre's technical inventory, including new high definition audio visual equipment and high speed internet access.

Clarke concluded "we are very proud to offer leading conference facilities in Australia, and our continuing investment in technology and improvement is part of our commitment to providing the best possible standards.

"Our latest enhancements give event planners not only a world-class Centre but also a highly flexible and innovative venue."

ACT Minister for Tourism and Events Andrew Barr recently led the official opening of the new look facility.
