Rackley Swimming announces opening of 26th swimming school in Queensland

Rackley Swimming has announced that it will be opening their 26th swimming school in Queensland with Rackley Swimming North Lakes opening on Sunday 23rd January 2021, at the North Lakes Aquatic Centre.

Featuring a heated outdoor 25 metre swimming pool, heated indoor Learn to Swim program pool and an outdoor play pool with water features, North Lakes Aquatic Centre - home of Rackley Swimming and managed by City Venue Management - look forward to seeing the local community swim with more skill and confidence.

Holding a long and proud history, Rackley Swimming is a family-run business with over two decades of active industry experience. From managing the Burleigh Beach Baths pool on the Gold Coast in 1951 to 26 aquatic sites located across the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, Moreton Bay and the Gold Coast.

Rackley Swimming Chief Executive, Reece Rackley advises "we feel proud to introduce and extend our premium swim services to North Lakes, and showcase why for 22 years now, Rackley Swimming families have benefited from our experience and a strong pedigree in the learn to swim space.

“We thank Moreton Bay Regional Council for this opportunity and the previous management for their wonderful work in establishing this community of swimmers. We look forward to continuing this passion.”

Rackley Swimming General Manager, Cameron Speechley adds “Rackley Swimming will offer swim programs designed explicitly for North Lakes as we expand the current Rackley Swimming offering into the Moreton Bay Regional Council.”

With Queensland’s outdoor lifestyle and active culture comes the responsibility of teaching children the importance of learning to swim.

In recent years, Children's Health Queensland has urged families to be vigilant about safer swimming, especially during the school holidays, with drowning being the number one risk for children under five.

North Lakes families will not only benefit from qualified instructors - each of whom are passionate about teaching fun and practical aquatic skills, while in an accommodating and comfortable environment – but also from savings.

Speechley advises “Infants can swim for free for up to six months with our ‘Baby Splash’ sessions. Children six months to three years can ‘Come & Try’ for a free lesson; and children three years and above, are welcome to join us for a free ‘Swim Safety Check’ before enrolling.”

Rackley Swimming North Lakes will be opened from 8 am on Saturday, January 23rd, 2021. Situated at 12 Little Burke Street, North Lakes, 4509 within walking distance of the Westfield shopping centre and the new North Lakes Library on The Corso. Rackley Swimming North Lakes will be open 7 days a week. The new pool will offer various swimming classes, from Learn to Swim and Squad swimming to holiday initiatives.
