Rackley Swimming announces opening of ninth Gold Coast pool
Rackley Swimming has announced the opening of their ninth Gold Coast pool - Rackley Swimming Hope Island - on 2nd January 2021, making it the group’s 25th swimming school in Queensland.
With a long and proud history, Rackley Swimming is a family-run business with over two decades of active industry experience, from managing the Burleigh Beach Baths pool at Burleigh Heads in 1951 to 25 swimming schools in Queensland.
While all of Rackley Swimming's pools are carefully designed to inspire their specific location, Rackley Swimming Hope Island, is purpose-built for learn to swim.
Rackley Swimming General Manager, Cameron Speechley advises "it's an indoor heated pool, centrally located in Hope Island with parking available on-site.
"The Rackley's team and I can't wait to bring Rackley Swimming to Hope Island. Our mission is to continue educating the importance of safer swimming here on the Gold Coast and beyond.”
The Gold Coast's coastal lifestyle encourages locals and visitors to swim regularly. However, with warm weather and easy access to the backyard and communal pools and the ocean, there also comes the responsibility of teaching children the importance of learning to swim.
In recent years, Children's Health Queensland has urged families to be vigilant about safer swimming, especially during the school holidays, with drowning being the number one risk for children under five.
Speechley added "at Rackley’s, we offer a Baby Splash program, which is free classes for 2-6 months old and their carers. We also ensure our classes are intimate, with a maximum of six per class for Babies. We start with three per class for Learn To Swim."
Rackley Swimming invites all new families to attend a free 15-minute Swim Safety Check. This free assessment is the first step in setting your child up for success from day one of their swim journey. As well as free assessments, Rackley Swimming Hope Island will also offer a Come And Try For Free lesson, and Baby Splash classes, which are free for 2-6 months old and their carers.
While Squad Training won’t be available at Rackley Swimming Hope Island, the new pool will offer various swimming classes, from Learn to Swim to holiday initiatives.
Opening from 8am on Saturday, 2nd January, 2021, Rackley Swimming Hope Island is located at 12 Halcyon Way, Hope Island, Gold Coast 4212.
