Precor launches direct sales model in Western Australia

Leading fitness industry supplier Precor has commenced direct sales in Western Australia this week, selling its award winning premium commercial and consumer fitness equipment to the Western Australian health and fitness sector.

The announcement aligns Western Australia with Precor’s global strategic direction of expanding sales, marketing, operations and customer service as a direct function in large markets, highlighting the importance and potential the Western Australian market offers.

Over the past three years, Nordic Fitness fitness has sold Precor equipment in Western Australia.

Thanking Nordic for a successful three year partnership, Precor Australia Business Manager Peter Dugmore explained “Precor has enjoyed steady growth in Western Australia through its partnerships with major customers such as Anytime Fitness, VenuesWest, Eaton Recreation Centre, Non Stop 24 Fitness, Sista Fitness, Roar Fitness and Vamp Fitness to name just a few, and Nordic Fitness have contributed to this growth.

“The new structure will allow Precor to build even closer local relationships and a greater understanding of customer needs so we can tailor packages including finance, integrated software solutions, service and marketing to best suit individual operator needs.

"The changes will see a dedicated Precor sales model established within Western Australia.”

The new Precor team in Western Australia will be lead by Paul Kelly.

Kelly has been involved in the Australian commercial fitness industry for over two decades and has been overseeing the Western Australian market for Precor for the past three years.

Precor has agreed with Nordic Fitness, which previously distributed Precor’s commercial and consumer equipment within the Western Australia market, a smooth transfer of all supply, service and support of existing customers. All warranties provided by Nordic Fitness will be honoured by Precor Australia.

Operations and servicing will be performed on behalf of Precor by local Perth company WA Gymtech, which has 10 years operational and after sales service experience.
