Magic Memories acquires MeTag developers Centryc Solutions

Leading photographic solutions company, Magic Memories, has announced the acquisition of Centryc Solutions, the innovative Sydney-based developers of guest, event and sponsor management software, MeTag.

Magic Memories Chief Executive John Wikstrom believes that the acquisition will open up new revenue streams, particularly around one-off events, where management of sponsor needs is recognised as a growing market.

Wikstrom explains “we’re simply delighted to welcome Centryc founder Dave Aicken and his talented team into the Magic family.

“In MeTag, they have built an extremely powerful and configurable platform that is a natural complement to the innovative design approach applied at Magic Memories.”

The cloud-based platform facilitates social media interactions and personalised real-time communications with guests and patrons at visitor attractions, theme parks and one-off events, such as music concerts.

Wikstrom sees that MeTag will allow Magic Memories to enhance, enrich and extend the experiences of the 50 million guests at more than 100 attraction sites around the world with which the company partners.

Centryc’s Dave Aicken, now Chief Marketing Technologist at Magic Memories, says he was attracted by Magic Memories' global ambition and growth potential.

Aicken adds “by becoming part of Magic Memories we now have a terrific opportunity to bring our genuinely innovative technology to the rest of the world. We’re all very excited about the future.”
